Solid Wood Antique (1800s) Georgian Style Accent / Side Table w/ drawer that pulls out to reveal the Writing desk which has a carved out pen/pencil holder, Ink well Hole and round finger pull hole to lift brass hinged top for access to drawer storage
* Owner putting this into our Camp Kesem fundraiser said it was in their family for generations. Owners wife stained the top and painted the outside base & legs blue.
* I was told that the table top is "figured walnut". The wavy grain pattern is called a crotch flame pattern and the perpendicular lines are called tiger striping with fiddle back ripples.
* The writing desk top in the drawer is not walnut (possibly maple) - the bottom of the drawer is possibly pine
* The brass hinges with the ball-tips (finials) and the off center flat head screws date them to the early 1800s on the writing desk.
* The handcrafted dovetail construction on the drawer sides are prior to machine crafted dovetail construction which started in late 1800s
* The drawer pulls had been replaced prior to the owners being handed down the piece so are not original
- Footprint: 30"W x 22"D x 31"H (24" from floor to bottom of drawer)
*There are some minor blemishes consistent with age & use. Otherwise in excellent pre-owned condition
*Owner moved / downsized
